Trainer Rodney Harris (shown here) has been an active and dedicated athlete since the age of nine. His love of sports led him to pursue a career in football. He earned a full-ride scholarship to the University of Kansas, where he received all Big 12 Conference Honors and served as team captain. Harris played in and started all 11 games during his first season with the Jayhawks. He finished fourth on the team with 62 tackles, including 39 solo stops. Harris picked off passes and led the team with many interceptions agains Texas Tech, Nebraska, Colorado and Texas. In addition, the KU coaching staff honored hi with the Iron Man Award, given to the player considered to be the hardest worker.
